EAC Summer Social Skills Series

Building confidence, connection, and real-world social skills.

The preteen years are filled with growth, change, and new social experiences. As friendships become more complex and expectations increase, many students benefit from intentional support in developing communication, emotional awareness, and social confidence.

On Wednesdays, We Emerge is a summer social skills series designed to provide preteens with a supportive and engaging environment where they can strengthen the skills needed to navigate friendships, manage emotions, and feel more confident in everyday interactions.

Through interactive activities, guided discussions, and hands-on skill-building exercises, participants will learn practical strategies they can immediately apply at school, at home, and in social settings.

What Students Will Focus On

This series is designed for preteens ages 11–14 who want to:

  • Build confidence in social situations

  • Strengthen communication and conversation skills

  • Navigate friendships and peer dynamics

  • Improve emotional awareness and self-regulation

  • Develop executive functioning and organizational skills

  • Practice positive peer interactions

  • Prepare for a successful transition back to school

Participants will have opportunities to practice these skills in real time within a structured, welcoming, and supportive group environment.
