Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
What is Emerging Adulthood Consulting?
Emerging Adulthood Consulting is a Celina, Texas–based practice supporting neurodivergent teens, young adults, and their families through coaching, therapy, social-skills groups, parent consultation, and transition-planning services.
Our focus is helping young people develop confidence, independence, executive-function skills, healthy routines, and practical skills for adulthood. We connect insight with real-world action at home, school, work, and in the community.
Who do you work with?
We primarily work with neurodivergent teens and young adults ages 14–30, including individuals with ADHD, autism, executive-function challenges, anxiety, and related support needs.
We also work closely with parents and caregivers who want practical guidance for supporting their young person while encouraging greater independence.
Not sure whether we are the right fit? A free 30-minute parent consultation is the easiest way to find out.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is practical, forward-looking, and skills-focused. Coaching may address executive functioning, behavior patterns, routines and systems, accountability, social skills, education or employment goals, independent living, and the transition into adulthood.
Therapy addresses emotional, relational, and mental-health concerns. It may include support for anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, coping skills, and major life transitions. Therapy is provided by a qualified mental-health professional and is subject to professional licensing requirements and location-based regulations.
Some families use coaching, therapy, or a combination of services. During your consultation, we can help you determine which type of support best fits your family’s needs.
How do I get started?
Start by scheduling a free 30-minute parent consultation. This is a no-pressure conversation where we learn more about your young person, answer your questions, and recommend an appropriate path forward.
You can schedule through our website or call or text us at (469) 712-6825.

Do you offer social-skills groups?
Yes. Our small-group programs give young people a supportive and structured place to practice communication, self-advocacy, confidence, social problem-solving, and real-world connection.
Groups may be offered virtually or in person, depending on the program. Visit our Programs page for current age groups, dates, locations, and enrollment information.
Do you support parents and caregivers?
Absolutely. Supporting a neurodivergent teen or young adult can feel exhausting, confusing, and isolating—especially when you are trying to balance necessary support with growing independence.
We offer parent coaching, consultation, practical tools, and a free monthly parent webinar series to help caregivers feel more informed, confident, and less alone.
Do you offer workshops or speaking engagements for schools and organizations?
Yes. We provide interactive workshops, presentations, and professional development related to neurodiversity, executive functioning, behavior, transition planning, life skills, parent support, and preparing young people for adulthood.
Visit our Speaking and Workshops page or contact us to discuss a customized event.
Logistics
Do you offer virtual sessions or only in-person services?
We offer both virtual and in-person support.
In-person availability depends on the service, provider, and location. Coaching and consultation may be offered virtually to families outside North Texas. Therapy availability is determined by the treating provider’s professional licensure and the client’s physical location at the time of service.
We will help you choose the option that works best for your family.
What areas do you serve?
Emerging Adulthood Consulting is based in Celina, Texas, and serves families throughout North Texas, including Celina, Prosper, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Allen, Little Elm, The Colony, Aubrey, Denton, and surrounding communities.
Virtual coaching and consultation are also available to families outside the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Therapy services are limited to locations where the treating provider is legally authorized to practice.
How long are sessions, and how often do they occur?
Most individual sessions are approximately 50–60 minutes. Families commonly begin with weekly or biweekly appointments, although frequency depends on the individual’s goals, needs, schedule, and selected service.
Some services are also available as multi-session packages or structured group programs. We will recommend a schedule during the consultation, but families are never expected to commit before understanding their options.

Cost, TEFA, and Insurance
How much do services cost?
Emerging Adulthood Consulting is primarily a private-pay practice. Rates vary by provider, service, program, and package.
Current individual coaching rates begin at $150 per session. Nicole’s individual coaching sessions are $200, and individual therapy with Radha is $160 per session. Group programs, assessments, packages, and workshops have separate pricing.
Please visit the applicable service page or contact us for current pricing. We will always explain the recommended service and cost before you make a commitment.
Can Texas Education Freedom Account funds be used for your services?
Emerging Adulthood Consulting is an approved Texas Education Freedom Accounts vendor. Eligible families may be able to purchase approved educational services and digital resources through the TEFA Marketplace.
Marketplace approval and eligibility may vary by offering. Families should review their TEFA account and the individual marketplace listing to confirm whether a particular service or resource qualifies.
Do you accept insurance?
Emerging Adulthood Consulting does not currently bill insurance directly for coaching, consultation, groups, or educational services.
Insurance policies differ, and coaching or educational services are generally not considered reimbursable mental-health treatment. For eligible therapy services, documentation for possible out-of-network reimbursement may be available depending on the provider and service. Reimbursement is never guaranteed, so families should contact their insurance company before beginning services.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept electronic payment through our secure client system. Approved TEFA offerings must be purchased through the TEFA Marketplace using the family’s available education-funding account.
Payment requirements and cancellation policies are reviewed before services begin.
